Sam Lowry never aspired to anything greater than the simple banality of a job in the records department, until a promotion to the Information requisitions department could put him in touch with the literal woman of his dreams. In the cold and uncaring world gone utterly mad with bureaucratic regulations, Sam comes face to face with the bitter consequences of a system devoid of empathy as he investigates a clerical error that resulted in the execution of an innocent man. It's 1984 with a dark Monty Python-esque sense of humor.
